The Project Settings is not a busy place: it's hardly as if you need to visit it every five minutes. In fact, in ideal circumstances this page needs only be visit once, and at the very start of the project. However, this one visit is a very important one.
- frame range
- This specifies the first and last frame of the project. By default this takes its values from whatever the frame range is of the file that the first Read node references.
- fps (frames per second)
- This specifies the frames per second of the project. If, when a QuickTime movie is being rendered, this value is any different to the fps of the rendered output, then trouble can ensue. In this course, we shall always be working at 25fps.
- full size format
- This is the pixel dimensions (and pixel aspect ratio) of the rendered output.. e.g. HD format (1920 x 1080). All nodes that reference a format (e.g. Constant, Reformat etc) will refer to this value. It is therefore a:
|GOLD PLATED, ROYAL, AWARD WINNING, INTERNATIONAL ACLAIM GAINING, PAIN IN THE GODDAM FRIKIN ARSE...|
...if this value is not set correctly at the start of the project. Got it?
