Bad Color Adjustment
Defining a certain class of color adjustment as bad is not as subjective as you might think. Color is data and a bad color adjustemnt equates to data loss.
The curve below has resulted in a flattening out of data and consequent loss of range. The narative for this is: before we had a number of values in the lower end of the lightness range, now we have only one.
Clearly a crazy curve. The narative for this is: that which used to be darker than light grey, is now lighter than it'.
